It’s been a little over a day since the Kickstarter has gone live. First off, I need to thank the folks who have already backed it. Thank You.
I’ve checked in on Kicktraq to try and get some perspective on the campaign. They provide projections on what they believe your campaign will achieve based on averages of pledges. As of today their number-crunching machines don’t think we’ll make our goal… but I certainly think we will.
I have always been a bit of a dreamer, but I also have a tendency to actualize those dreams. If I set my mind to something creative it will get done. I say this with confidence knowing that I have self-published comic books, gotten my art into galleries, and taught myself technologies when needed for personal projects.
Our start may be slow, but the momentum will build. Here’s a bit of what we’ve done to start gaining some attention.
We’ve reached out to about 30 online publications/bloggers with our press release and a bit of info about the game.
I’ve tried reaching out to some celebrities, that have been known to game, offering up sculptures in trade for helping to get the word out.
We’ve purchased ads on Facebook and Twitter.
All of this should start to gain some momentum as people begin to see Monster Hunter Academy.
Tomorrow I will delve into why I wanted to create Monster Hunter Academy and what I imagine the brand growing into…. remember, I’m a bit of a dreamer.
